I'll be the first to say, I was skeptical. The price seemed too good to be true. We are coming from an old school cast iron stove, no glass door, ugly thing that went through a lot of wood. I liked that this Drolet 1800 was still a very efficient, but not catalytic stove. It shouldn't clog up and be temperamental like the higher efficiency catalytic stoves. Compared to the big name prices, this is a steal of a deal. I'm beyond impressed, it's well built ,it seems, time will tell. Shipped straight to the house, no damage, well packaged in a wood crate, no assembly. The door seals up nicely, it's super quiet and peaceful watching the flames through the glass door. The door screen is a little flimsy and feels cheap, I can't say I'd recommend that. Over all, I would recommend it to anyone. It looks great, works great, I just hope it lasts a long time with no issues. We've only had it for 2 weeks, burned wood just about every day though. Fingers crossed that the longevity is there, so far I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
